Licencing Round South Africa - Summer 2009

A GeorexUK/ASB Joint Venture 
In a JV with Australia Seismic Brokers (ASB), GeorexUK is currently interpreting a scanned and reprocessed offshore seismic dataset over the Tugela cone in the Natal Basin. The Tugela licence area, comprising 48798 km2, contains 14 exploration licence blocks 2500km2 in areal extent, and 8 partial blocks. With sparse seismic coverage of 6000km and only 4 near-shore wells, the numerous leads that have been identified make this an exciting and under-explored frontier area witha working hydrocarbon system and nearby established infrastructure.
