South Africa - offshore licensing

In 2009, The Petroleum Agency of South Africa [PASA] announced the first major licensing round for virtually all unlicensed offshore S. Africa acreage.

Georex UK Ltd in conjunction with Australian Seismic Brokers, reprocessed and interpreted approximately 8000kms of seismic data over the Natal Basin licenses, focusing particularly on the greaterTugela Fan region.

Existing well data was also reprocessed and used to tie the seismic grid.

The multiclient study and 200 page G&G report subsequently produced from this interpretation, includes chapters on the Geology, Petroleum System, Geophysics, Petrophysics, Analogues and Prospect summaries.
